‘Bagavathi Kadu’ premier

A premiere of an environment cum educational film ‘Bhagavathi Kadu’, from the flagship of noted writer, music director of national fame Hamsalekha shot in 17 days by director of value based films K Shivarudraiah, was held at Renukamba digital theatre in Bangalore on Saturday evening.

There was all round of applause for Hamsalekha Images Private Limited’s maiden venture. The maximum of artists in ‘Bhagavathi Kadu’ are from the Hamsalekha Desi Arts College students and some of the technical work is also performed by the students of Hamsalekha Desi College.

‘Bhagavathi Kadu’ based on the novel of Kum Veerabhadrappa centers around the Neem tree in Bellary district that is 300 years old. The screenplay and direction is handled by K Shivarudraiah. S Ramachandra handled the camera and Lakshmi Pathi Kolar has written the dialogues. Hamsalekha has not penned any songs for this off beat film but scored the music.

For the premier, noted director Nagathihalli Chandrasekhar, novelist of the film Kum Veerabhadrappa, Prof SG Siddaramaiah, MLA Narendra Babu, former minister HM Revanna, Prof Ramaiah and others were present.
